The Township of Montville is conveniently accessed via I-287, I-80, Route 46 or Route 202. Many of the major township facilities are centrally located within a short distance of each other. In the center of town, within a few blocks of each other are the Community Park, the Youth Center, the Montville Township High School, Montville Public Library, the Lazar Middle School, the Montville Township First Aid Squad, the Montville Township Board of Education offices, the Municipal Baseball Fields, the Animal Shelter and the DPW yard. About two miles north is the Public Safety Building (Police and Municipal Court) and Senior House and ½ mile south is the Municipal Building.
