The Township Clerk's Office is resposible for the recording, preparation and safekeeping of the minutes of the Township Committee meetings and other official records of the Township, including resolutions and ordinance. In addition, the Township Clerk prepares the agendas for the Township Committee meetings and handles the Township Committee's correspondence.
The Township Clerk is the local administrator for Primary, General, School and Special Elections held in Montville Township. the Township Clerk's office has a variety of election-related forms and materials available to the public, such as voter registration and change of address forms. The Township newsletter, the Montville Magazine, is published out of the Township Clerk's office. The magazine is published six times per year and is mailed to all residents of Montville Township. The Montville Magazine contains information regarding Township events, including Recreation and Health Department schedules. Copies of the magazine are always available at the Municipal Building.
